Thus, first Asaram Bapu Ashram was built at the banks of River Sabarmati in Ahmedabad. Today there is no dearth of Asaram Bapu Ashram all over India. The Asaram Bapu Ashram situated in Delhi is also very popular being centrally located. Moreover, there are so many devotees of bapu in Delhi that it was very important to have one Asaram Bapu Ashram in Delhi. There are 111 Asaram Bapu Ashram in different states of India and 1200 centers for meditation throughout the world.
